Naval Air Museum, Pensacola
Even though the Naval Air Museum has several acres under roof, they've got hundreds of planes and exhibits. Photography is hard because, even close up with wide angle lenses, there is just so much stuff that it's hard to isolate the subject. Greying out and darkening the background is one of the very few ways of coming up with even a semi-successful shot of a lot of these planes.
My brother was in town a couple of weeks back and I took him to the Museum. Even though he is definitely not close to an aircraft or military museum buff, he admitted to being truly impressed. I've been to lots of Aircraft Museums including Wright Patterson and the Smithsonian and NAS Pensacola is one of the very best anywhere.
